Expand access to high-speed broadband for all areas in Kentucky. Improving broadband infrastructure can spur innovation, entrepreneurship, and productvity. Urban areas have access to high-speed internet while rural areas struggle. The Center for Business and Economic Research notes that only 8% of Kentuckians have high-speed internet when compared to the U.S. average of 37%. The Kentucky Wired initiative should be supported and expanded so that more rural communities have access to faster internet speeds.
